Designing the Future of Casegoods

Our work on the Creeper design focused on solving problems for our end-users. We set out to develop an intuitive product to solve multiple challenges faced by both professional and backyard mechanics.

Ideation

In our ideation phase we explored many different ideas around articulation and tool storage. With a stack of sketches to pick through we started combining and expanding on concepts we felt showed promise and were in-line with our vision.

Concept Development

Using ideas uncovered in Ideation we began 3D development of our chosen direction. This phase brings the product to life and allows our team to give you a realistic look at whats possible and further defines any issues left to solve.

Engineering + MFG

Picking up where we left off in concept development, we move into our engineering and manufacturing phase. Here we package mechanisms and solve any problems we see moving into manufacturing. We also evaluate and run analysis on components and assemblies to understand forces and increase manufacturing efficiencies.

Creeper Final Design

Our final design focused on an intuitive approach to deliver our end-user. Our main solution focused on ergonomics and tool storage to ease body strain when working in tight places.
